Building Partnerships & Campaigns That Make a Difference

Community Campaign Guide

Start Your Campaign Here

The Community Campaign Guide provides information, advice, and inspiration on how to implement a My Voice. Our Community. campaign in your community. Every community is different, so the guide doesn’t offer a one-size-fits-all, step-by-step implementation plan to follow. Instead, it includes concepts, strategic suggestions, and other important considerations while planning and implementing your own campaign.

Public Awareness Videos

Share Stories of People Making a Difference in Their Communities

When it comes to reducing violence, every person has a voice, every voice matters, and together our voices can lead to real change. Whether you are able to start a nonprofit, host community meals, or simply start taking better care of yourself— your voice can make your community better.

Watch, listen, and share stories of people who have turned their experiences with trauma into catalysts for positive action. These videos and audio tracks are designed to serve as inspiration for you, your community partners, and anyone else who’s ready to say, “My Voice Makes Our Community Better.”

Apparel Templates

Wear Your Voice Throughout Your Community

You can load the images into an online shirt builder (such as VistaPrint, CustomInk, or Threadless) and create your own shirts, or use it as an opportunity to get a local business involved in the campaign by bringing the design files to a print shop near you and asking for assistance. A variety of designs are available, all of which can be applied to other apparel or “swag” options such as hats, backpacks, mugs, stickers, etc.

Posters & Flyers

Raise Awareness Wherever You Are

Store windows, church billboards, bus stops, event tables, and classroom walls are just a few of the places you can display a My Voice. Our Community. poster or flyer to raise awareness and show support for the campaign.

They can serve as a conversation starter for people in the community, or a reminder to always be looking for ways to make our communities better. A variety of color and design option are available for you to use in your efforts.
